One of my favorite things to do during the Holiday Season is to go to Disney. I love the lights the decorations the trees and the excitement in the air. However, all of this leads me to my must see every year. It is Epcot. Epcot creates Christmas around the world. If you are familiar with Epcot you know that around the Lake are different countries. Mexico/Germany/Italy/Morocco/France/Canada/Norway/China/Japan, etc...its is quite the array countries.
Each County Celebrates the Holiday's differently. For example Father Christmas from England...or The Monkey King in China...celebrating the New Year. Papa Noel in France. Each Country comes with the character telling their story. These stories last about 10-15 minutes...They are great for young and old alike. I remember one year, I was bound and determined to visit each country's story. It was quite the feat...but I did it. You can get a list of the times of each story telling and you can plan accordingly.
But it doesn't end there...there is the Candle Lite Procession. It comes complete with a cavalcade of celebrity narrators with the story of Christmas along with very talented singers from schools all over the nation. There are a few shows per night but I might recommend you take part in one of their dinner packages so you can dine and then get a guaranteed seat in theater. It is very popular.
And remember this is Christmas Time and you want to get all your Holiday Shopping Done. Take time to Visit the Newly renovated Disney Springs. It was just recently named from Downtown Disney. The new Disney Springs has more to offer from stores, restaurants, and attractions...It's Still Disney...and they decorate for the Holiday too. So you can check off your Holiday Shopping List.
Now you may have noticed I have not talked about Animal Kingdom...and of course they have the decorations....but because of the Animals....they are a little more subdued...if Disney can do anything subdued. So make one of your Christmas' a Disney Christmas and just give in to being a Kid again.
